Heavy little suckers. But so worth it!

Lodge products are the best! High quality pots and pans. These are wonderful to cook in, once you learn. And learning to care for them properly is fun too. Cook everything with bacon grease and you’re good! Perfect for camping although they take up a lot of space and are each very heavy. Not for light, simple camping. I waited til price dropped and got a super a.aging deal on here. This bundle of cookware is essential for my trips!!

Great quality – these should last forever

I decided to take the plunge after getting a gift card for Amazon. My biggest complaints have to do with the size of the main frying pan – I wish it were larger, and the lack of good quality silicone handle holders. The handles get extremely hot when cooking which everyone should be able to figure out. My ding of 1 star is for the size of the handles – if they were slightly longer the pans would be easier to maneuver. For those who are freaked out about seasoning the pans, relax. They come pre-seasoned and even with that I did the “in the oven for an hour” treatment and when I wash them (no soap needed) I completly dry them and then heat them up a little and give them a quick rub with a small amount of oil. Eggs don’t stick, good sear on everything.

Proof made in the USA can be inexpensive AND high quality

Not my first cast iron pan, but it has been a while since I used one last.Although some people criticize the rough texture seasoning finish of these, I don’t personally have any problems with it.For $79, this set has *almost* everything you need.I rounded my set off with a 12″ Lodge skillet + a 12″ tempered glass Lodge lid.For $80 + $20 + $12, this pretty much has you entirely set for most cooking tasks. And altogether it’s less than one of the pricier pans. Plus, it’s made in the USA.Highly recommend and would buy again…..but given it’s CI I probably won’t need to.

Hands-down the best cast iron cookware you can get for the money. Period.

Handles on the skillets are too short, you need strong wrists and forearms to lift a full pan with one hand.I’ve been using Lodge cast iron pots, pans and Dutch ovens for decades.Super easy to maintain when following the simple care instructions.None of them have ever rusted, warped, cracked, pitted or failed in any way.I’ve used them on the stove, on the grill, on an open campfire, in the oven and in the microwave (just kidding DO NOT use these in the microwave).Hands-down the best cast iron cookware you can get for the money. Period.

    Awful seasoning

These are definitely not ready to be used out of the box. One of the skillets had an ok coating, but the rest was rather shotty. I haven’t had time to season this set so they have sat for a few weeks waiting to be seasoned. I’ve had rust spots pop up on stuff I’ve never used or cleaned, along with obvious spots of bare iron. I’ve done the first of 3 or 4 planned seasonings; but honestly, at this stage, I don’t recommend these pots. The seasoning was too inconsistent, and it just seems like shoddy work.
