Great, heats up evenly and uniformly with good heat distribution

This is a really high end stainless steel frying pan that is versatile. Using stainless steel frying pans is very different from using a non-stick ones so right away I noticed people giving it bad reviews because it doesn’t act like a non-stick pan. You need to treat stainless steel pans differently from non-stick. As long as you know how to use one, you will absolutely love this frying pan. The quality is great and the heat evenly distributes. You won’t be disappointed with this pan. My only complaint is the price. I feel like it’s a little expensive but you get what you pay for.Tip #1: Unlike non-stick pans that require no preheating time, with stainless steel, preheating is required. The steel is porus when cold and these pores causes food to stick so you really need to preheat the pan before you put anything on it. The heat expands the steel and causes the pores to close, which will give you a smooth cooking surface that doesn’t stick as easily.Tip #2: Another common mistake is adding oil to the pan before preheating. I always do this when using a non-stick pan but you can’t do this on a stainless steel pan without causing food to stick. If you add oil prior to it being preheated, the oil will sink into the open pores and cause your food to stick. Wait until the pan is warm and then pull it off the burner before adding the oil. Make sure the oil is evenly distributed on the pan by swirling it.

    Love this pan

I ordered the small skillet to see if it was as good as they claimed. Love it. It is heavy and appears to be quite durable. I have used it twice to cook eggs, and was amazed at how easily it cleaned up. It is not coated, and usually these pans take more elbow grease to clean up. I was really happy with it.I ordered the set!

    Shared favorite

I share this with a non stick pan when desired result is seared such as with fish. Problem is no matter how much vegetable oil, olive oil, or butter used foods always exhibit some sticking. On the plus side, with scrubbing it always cleans up shiny like new.

    Great pans, check your rivets

I have some of the very first run of Made-In pans, so I was happy to get this to compare. The construction is pretty much the same, though the new pans have a more flared lip, and they moved the logos around. The older pans also had a recipe on the back, while the new ones have a jazzy graphic. I prefer the recipe (YMMV).The pans are great, and after buying my first one I bought a bunch more. I recommend, however, that new buyers check the rivet attachments by trying to run a piece of paper between each rivet and the inside of the pan. This newly arrived pan has one spot where the paper will go in about two millimeters between the pan and the rivet, though not to the post, which is tolerable. I had a couple of other pans (out of many) that were worse (Customer service is great, and I was in the process of sending those back when I got Covid, but that’s a longer story).
