18 Piece Combo Wrench Set feature SUPERCOMBO open end that have specially designed grooves that direct wrench force away from fastener corners. The box opening design allows application of higher torque without rounding or deforming hex fastener points. No contact is made at the corners. Meets or exceeds aerospace specification AS 954 for 12 point fasteners (as defined by AS 870) to provide accurate torque/tension relationship for precision application. May be used on all common hex (6 point) fasteners with considerable advantage over conventional box end wrenches. Set consists of 18 open and 12 point box end wrenches that have a high polish chrome finish. They come in a roll pouch and the sizes range from 7 to 24 millimeters.

No cons whatsoever. The wrenches are thicker than any I have seen which makes them easier to handle plus the useful added inertia. What i didnt know was they have notches in the open ends for extra bite: nice! Will be looking at other Williams tools now.

I’ve yet to be disappointed with any of my Williams tools purchases. I decided to take a chance on these for my metric set to compare with my Snap-On SAE wrenches. The thickness of the beam in your hands is much more comfortable than the Snap-On wrenches when really putting a lot of force into them. The grooves in the open end work great for gripping rusted rounded off fasteners. I’ve been using them daily as a diesel mechanic, and have been considering trading out my Snap-On set for an SAE set of these. Excellent wrenches, and worth every penny.

This order was part of my purchase of a complete set of these wrenches; 6mm to 36mm.. Nice wrenches, but the bumpy chrome finish on sizes greater than 20mm was very disappointing.

Rebuilding vintage bicycles means corroded fasteners, many with rounded corners. Williams Super Combo wrenches put the torque on the flats which means preservation of the original vintage fittings and a better restoration. Williams is made by SnapOn but is their industrial grade. Like!
