Proof made in the USA can be inexpensive AND high quality

Not my first cast iron pan, but it has been a while since I used one last.Although some people criticize the rough texture seasoning finish of these, I don’t personally have any problems with it.For $79, this set has *almost* everything you need.I rounded my set off with a 12″ Lodge skillet + a 12″ tempered glass Lodge lid.For $80 + $20 + $12, this pretty much has you entirely set for most cooking tasks. And altogether it’s less than one of the pricier pans. Plus, it’s made in the USA.Highly recommend and would buy again…..but given it’s CI I probably won’t need to.

GREAT AS A STARTER KIT! HUSBAND LOVED HIS!

My husband has always always wanted to use a skillet for everyday cooking that would also hold up in his smoker too, and this was the best gift! PLUS, HELLO, LODGE? 🙂 We haven’t used the smaller pan or the flat one yet, but the regular skillet has worked like a charm – eggs, full meals, pancakes, steaks, so far so good and definitely easy to clean. The rubber handle is ‘ok’ when it comes to grabbing it quickly – but my husband says he can still feel heat if you hold it for too long. We just use our OV-Gloves.

Great quality – these should last forever

I decided to take the plunge after getting a gift card for Amazon. My biggest complaints have to do with the size of the main frying pan – I wish it were larger, and the lack of good quality silicone handle holders. The handles get extremely hot when cooking which everyone should be able to figure out. My ding of 1 star is for the size of the handles – if they were slightly longer the pans would be easier to maneuver. For those who are freaked out about seasoning the pans, relax. They come pre-seasoned and even with that I did the “in the oven for an hour” treatment and when I wash them (no soap needed) I completly dry them and then heat them up a little and give them a quick rub with a small amount of oil. Eggs don’t stick, good sear on everything.

Hands-down the best cast iron cookware you can get for the money. Period.

Handles on the skillets are too short, you need strong wrists and forearms to lift a full pan with one hand.I’ve been using Lodge cast iron pots, pans and Dutch ovens for decades.Super easy to maintain when following the simple care instructions.None of them have ever rusted, warped, cracked, pitted or failed in any way.I’ve used them on the stove, on the grill, on an open campfire, in the oven and in the microwave (just kidding DO NOT use these in the microwave).Hands-down the best cast iron cookware you can get for the money. Period.

Great Addition – especially if you do not have cast iron yet!

They are cast iron – they speak for themselves….they are great! As expected: heavy, durable cast iron. First use was on our brand new stove top….it’s a glass top and we learned the hard way that cast iron should NOT be used on it. The pan got so hot that it left permanent marks on the stove top! This was user error and no fault to the pan. It actually confirmed that they do have great heat distribution and resiliency! We now only use them on the frill or in the oven but we use them!
